Disclaimer
Tethr is a companion app. It is not a medical device, a safety system, or a substitute for the judgment of a safe driver.
Tethr does not detect drowsiness, does not monitor the driver, and cannot prevent accidents. Every piece of alertness information in the app comes from what the driver says aloud. The conversation and the periodic check-ins are designed to keep the driver mentally engaged. They are not, and should not be relied on as, an early-warning system.
If you ever feel unsafe to continue driving, pull over at the next safe place. Always.
Tethr is not a substitute for medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment. If you have a sleep condition, work irregular hours, or are concerned about drowsiness while driving, talk to your healthcare provider. The Epworth Sleepiness Scale and the STOP-BANG questionnaire that Tethr may use are screening tools for informational purposes only. They do not replace a professional assessment.
You are solely responsible for your driving decisions, including whether to drive at all and when to stop. Tethr makes no claim and no guarantee about safety outcomes.
Tethr is in beta. Things will change. Bugs and rough edges are expected.
